What sort of tractor? Engine/transmission? Is it tranny oil or engine oil?

I'm assuming you've got a Massey, since you're on th MF board. Here's my experience with them and oil in the bellhousing.

I don't have first hand info, but I understand there's a common problem with Multi-Power trannies and oil leaking into the clutch area.

Engine oil could be from the most common malady. That's a leaking rear oil pan gasket. It could possibly be the rear main seal, but most likely the pan gaskets. (That's about a 4 hour fix, and not that difficult)

Make certain the weep holes at the bottom of the bellhousing stay clear. DON'T remove the cotter key. That helps keep that drain hole open.

If you can be more specific about engine/tranny oil from what sort of engine/tranny, I'm sure someone can be of more help than I.
