PTO on MF 175 turns when clutch is in

My MF 175 started to grind when putting it in gear and when the clutch is all the way in the pto still turns. are these two problems related and is it a serious problem? Thanks Art

You probably need to make the Internal pto clutch adjust up through the hole in the bottom of the transmission bellhousing. It has to be done about third or fourth time the pedal free travel is adjusted. I have a picture I can send you that shows how to make that adjustment

BigDean,

Sounds like you know about MF! I have a TO35 and the clutch works fine when engaging and disengaging the tramsmission but when I have the PTO running and I go to disengage the clutch the tractor wants to keep moving and once stopped it is more difficult to take out of gear. Is there an ajustment on the transmission clutch or is there an internal adjustment for the PTO clutch?
