How does the crank pulley come off on a MF 65 diesel? I built a special wrench that fits through three 1.5" holes from the front of the tractor, which will turn the pulley clockwise viewed from the front (turning the engine)...but I can find no bolts to remove. Who knows?
Thank you in advance!!
Barry

Hi, I've taken this pulley off on the mark 1 and mark 2 65. But I did have the complete front axel removed at the time. There is a big washer behind the bolt holding the pulley in place with one or two of its tabs bent forward to stop the bolt working loose. You will have to straighten these tabs away from the bold to undo it. The bolt opens in a anticlockwise direction. Once the bolt is undone the pulley is a light press fit and should be easy to tap out.

I dont know if the pulley will come off without removing the front axel (enough room to move forward). Maybe some one else can answer that. In any event the front axel is easy to remove just a little time consuming.

Thanks Dev...I'll have to get a mirror in there to see what you're talking about. Just feeling w/ my fingers I didn't get the impression of there being a bolt at all - just this one-way (clockwise) round assembly that a t-shaped wrench can turn - wrench slips out when turned counter-clockwise, but catches and holds in the clockwise direction.
