Hi,

The relief valve on my mf148 is popping when I have an implement on the lift.
It will lift ok and hold at different heights with position control but always
starts popping when height reached. Popping not as vigorous as when I put it in constant pumping but annoying all the same.
Does this sound like a relief valve problem?
Where is this valve located ?
If it is how big a job to replace this valve i.e. can it be done thru the PTO inspection plate or is it a lift cover off job with pump removal (hope not as I just put the cover back on after major surgery on linkage!)
Is there any issue with living with a popping relief valve in terms of damage to the pump from overheating etc ?

Regards

As an addition my tractor has pressure control, from
reading up it would appear that pumps on tractors with
Pressure control do not have a relief valve and the adjustments
I need to do can be done thru the inspection hatch behind the response control Plate. Is there any way of doing these adjustments without a pressure gauge ?
I do not need to get the tractor up to MF spec, just want it to stop poppin

Cheers
