This is the damndest thing I've ever seen..
This past winter I removed my Z134 Continental gas
motor from my MF50, to replace my clutch, oil pump, and change out the main and con-rod bearings. I did not remove the cylinder head, or timing gear assy, and the engine was lying on it's side supported on wood blocks to accomplish
the job. I later reassembled the engine to the tractor and started it up . It was chuffing through the carburetor, and later inspection revealed a bent No.1 intake pushrod. I got a new one, and now I discover that a few of the pushrods are rising too high and creating a zero-clearance situation at the top of their lift, with the valve adjustor backed all the way out. the pushrods appear to be set correctly in their tappet cups.. any ideas?? I don't know what Iv'e screwed up!!! Chris plish
