how can I tell diff between mf and ferguson 35 I bought it at auction castings have mhf on them and clutch is like a 30, round not pedal like the brake sn. plate gone ferguson on front hood, has holes for emblems at rear of hood its painted red with gray looks real good engine no.is z134a600-0#e185 its a real good little fellow and has a two stage clutch I would like to keep it but make it original Thanks fellows Buford

Most likely it is a TO-35, made after the merger of Massey Harris and Ferguson, thus the castings of MHF. The TO-35 had the Z134 prefix on the engine, as did the F-40 and some others, but based on your other description it is almost certainly a TO-35. The two stage clutch was indicative of the Deluxe version. It probably also has a tractometer (tach) and a high low tranny, and requires the high low lever to be in neutral to start. These are very nice tractors.
