Hi, I just received a vintage Massey Harris brochure of the thousands of dollar I’ve spent
On literature this brochure is simply the best looking of ALL tractors, bar none . I always wondered why the lithography advertising in the automobile industry of the era was so much nicer then the tractor industry….till now

Here’s my question. The brochure shows the smallest tractor as the Pacer not the Pony.
I have a stack of tractor books that go to the sky but I can’t seem to find the Pacer mentioned. What’s the story on the Pacer? Was is a simple name / sticker change?
Was it a regional thing?

I will be posting the complete brochure soon. Till then I posted a teaser picture at the bottom of the Massey page.

BTW I will be creating a separate Massey Ferguson page soon

Thanks, Thats all the info I needed.I guess I need a Massey book. I own 4 different brands of tractors right now none are masseys....I do see a Pony or Pacer in my future...thats a sweet looking tractor Ken I used your exact description on my site...hope you dont mind

BTW I did Google it. Looked at 15 or more pages got frustrated and posted the question here. The frustrating google results is the very reason I started antiquefarming.com a month ago.

Thanks again guys

The Pacer was an improved model over the Pony, and although they looked the same, the pacer had a padded seat, hyd. lift and the frame was a bit longer. It had a 91 cu. in. engine, while the pony a 62 cu. in. engine.

The Pacer (model 16) is larger than the Pony (model 11). The model numbers signify the h.p.
The implements were supposed to fit either.
