Will a Massey Harris 444 3 point bolt up to a 1951 RC 44. The PTO is lower on the 444 and it appears the center link would be problem.

The Hitch-All on a 444 requires extensive fabrication to adapt to a 44. The earlier version
on '54 & '55 44 Specials, will basically bolt up
to a 44 with central hydraulics, Depth-o-Matic.
However, these can sell for 4-7 hundred. For a 44
you need that liftshaft design that bolts above the PTO housing; the rest are junque. Good Luck.

You say "the rest are junk". What is the problem with the under PTO 3 point? Is there a fix to the problem? What is the capacity difference between the two 44 lifts?

They were early efforts to build a 3 point, similar to the cultivator lift. A 30 could get by
with no rough use, with this. More cat. I than
durable. The lift arm anchor pins lacked clevis
supports, the lift arms cracked, vertical linkage
and pins broke. 44's just ruined the assembly part
by part. The Hitch-All was cat. II, well braced, durable. Some late 33's had Hitch-All, as did 44
Specials, however it remained an option on each
tractor.
