Hello folks
The plate on my tractor states that it is 102SS #362071. However these numbers don't jive with anything I find on the net.
On the bottom of the Trans. is stamped 06 19 45.
I am guessing that is the date of build.
I was wondering if anyone has any info about the 102. It would be appreciated & thanks

The 102 models are the export model designation of the 101 models. The SS on the serial number is for senior standard model.

Do you live in Canada or is the tractor near the Canadian border?

That first typo error should read 101's (not 101'2).

Here's why I asked. Originally, there were 101'2 (gasoline fuel) and 102's (distillate or low grade fuel). That was from about '39-'43 or so. Then in '43 sometime, there were several changes (air cleaner, sheet metal, grille, etc) and from this point on, all exports (including those going to Canada) were designated as 102's, even though the majority of them were gasoline. I have an early 101 (1940) that is gasoline and anything up here after '43 that is gasoline (or distillate if there are any in these parts) were labelled as 102's for some reason. That's why your serial number probably shows up in the 101 serial list I'm guessing.
