Does anyone know what was the most powerful production two wheel drive diesl tractor up to 1980 is or was? Could it be the Massey 2805? Can it be easily tuned to give more HP?

It was the 194hp 2805 all right.White had a 2-180 with a 636cid Cat 3208 at the time

You already asked. See your other post. The 2805 was the highest at some point. I think it took the position away from the White 2-155 that had a Cat 3208 V-8 of 636 cu. in. If I recall, in testing the 2805 put out just over 192 PTO HP. Why would you want more power? The V-8s weren't Perkins best engines and trying to get more power would make them less reliable. Dave
