I recently bought a MF TO35 at an auction. When I got home, I checked the glow plugs and one was burned out, none were hooked up. I connected them to the 12 volt system with a push button switch. I ended up burning them all up. These are very expensive as you know. What do I need to do to make sure that this does not happen again? Is there and aftermarket air intake heater that can be used instead of glow plugs? Also, who is the maker of this four cylinder diesel engine?

Thanks,
Art2

This engine is made by Standard Engines England. It may be the hardest starting diesel engine EVER made. Without the glow plugs you may never beable to get it started unless it is 110* outside. I dont think any manifold glow plug will help on this engine.

I do not know anything about your STANDARD DIESEL ENGINE.I did however read your question. Are those glowplugs supposed to be in series or parallel.CENTAUR
