I've aquired a 1940 101 super (Chrysler power) which looks like it has the long block engine instead of the short one. Did these all come with short block engines or did the later ones have the longer one? Second, does anyone make the sidepanels? somebody put the later open typr on this, although it still has the correct grille.

I Have A 1940 Super 101 Which I Restored 12 Years
Ago, It Is My Favorite Tractor To Take On Tractor Tours, It's Smooth Running And I Can Outrun Most People If I Want Ha!. I Can Measure My Block If You Want? But Look At The Massey Data Book And It Will Eplain It, I Don't Have My Book Handy. They Changed To The Bigger Block Sometime During Production, Mine Is The Smaller Block, But My Engine Was Replaced With A 47 Plymouth Car Engine After Previous Owner Blowing Up Original Engine. They Made The Super Until 1943, Then Went To The Continental, That's When They Came Out With The 101 And The 101 Jr. I Got Reproduction Side Panels And Grill From Someone In Nebraska At The Time, but I Don't See Him Advertised Anymore. Genos, I'm not being a smart guy or anything but I've never seen anyone type like you do. Every letter starting with a capital? Does your keyboard do that automatically through some program or do you actually hit the "shift" lever at the beginning of every word? Just had to ask, I'm curious (not snoopy).

I believe both the 101 Juniors and Seniors were around since '39 for the Juniors and maybe a bit loter for the Seniors. As you indicated they both used Continental 4 & 6 cylinder flatheads.
