Took the side plate off my MF65 to change the oil. Kinda like draining an auto tranny. When ya get the last bolt out, you get more than ya bargained for. When I got the cover off, I realized that I did not have nearly enough supplies on hand. Oil went everywhere. The oil was clean, but somehow in the last 40 some years, it had started to turn to grease. It was thick, gluey, gloppy and made one h**l of a mess. Oh well, now I know that it is clean in there.

Let's go Mountaineers,

Aaron

Thanks for the picture Aaron.
I'm not sure how much difference there is between the 65 and the 135, but when I get the chance, I'm going to have to take mine apart.
When I turn the steering wheel, the shaft works up and down, so I'm guessing I'll have to replace some bearings.
I've never been inside a steering box, so your picture gives me an idea of what to expect.
Gary
