I have a 101 Senior and the serial tag is missing. Is there any other way to tell the year that the tractor was made? Thanks for any information. Can send a picture if needed.

Ben ,Look underneath the transmission case. There should be a casting date there that will give you a pretty good idea of the year.Dick

I found the numbers. the first one is 9180A and the second one is 8-22-45. Is the first one the serial number and the second the date of manufacture? Thanks

The first # is the casting #. The date is when it was cast The tractor was probably assembled within a couple of months of that date.I think we can safely call your tractor a 1945 model. On many Massey tractors in addition to the serial # plate, the serial # was hand stamped on top of the transmission case or cover usually on the left side near the pulley engagement lever. since you tractor was built in the second half of 1945, I think your number should be 503XXX.

Sorry,
I just reread your post and you have a 101 Senor not the Junior. If your tractor is a row crop the serial # will start with 263XXX. just click the serial # link on the left of this page for whatever model you have for a list of numbers.
