just bought a M F 135 serial #9A107866. I got it from a Massey dealership.Said they took it on trade. Said they sail they rebuilt it completely and it had blow by band smokes after,Said they may have broke a ring.What year is it???What do you all think about the engine???What is it worth?????Thank Archie

What dealer just out of curiousity? Serial # says 1971. Is it a gasser? or diesel?

Ask for the complete lisf of parts that they used when they "rebuilt it completely". Any dealer would have records of the job. I think the smoke they are blowing you is probably thicker than the blowby from the tractor. Tom

Hi,
Can't help you with the price. Depending on how bad the blowback is; remove the breather pipe that runs from the rocker cover down the front of the engine and make sure it is clear. They are prone to getting blocked with debris and may just be mis-leading you. You may have a seized top compression ring. If this is broken you'll probably need a new liner as well.
