What oils are correct for MF 148

Hi Guys,

I am wanting to do a full service on my 1975 MF148 with power assisted steering and was hoping someone might be able to steer me in the right direction for the correct oils,in particular the power steering.

Hello,
If you are in the UK, engine and transmission require a good brand of TRACTOR OIL UNIVERSAL or whatever your supplier recommends. Power steering takes AUTOMATIC TRAMSMISSION OIL, ATM or again whatever your supplier recommends. There is a different recommendation for tractors with PAS in the US but I believe they have a different steering system.

Thanks David.

I was leaning towards the ATF for the steering but had heard that the Universal AG oil was used throughout.

I think I will continue with the ATF.
