got the old babe back togeather about 3 hours ago. only took about 14 hour work and 225 dollars in parts and grease. the entire main draft control spring was seased in. lots of heat and hammering to get it out. had to replace retainer nut, control rod spring seat, and overload disk, also put on a rubber boot and installed a grease fitting in the front area of the draft control to keep all part from rust up again. it was well worth the work, the lift nolonger races me to the ground when i shut down the engine, and works muck smoother. tried adding a quart of "TRANS X" in with 80-90 in tranny to stop the bellhousing drip blues stuff works great in autos to lube the seals and improve shifting will keep you posted if it works. nothing beats an old massey! just don't tell the ford guys.

I've been to a few tractor shows and fairs in the last few years. I have yet to see a MF or even a MHF on display. I recall one TO-20. Ol' Harry really got it right.

Glad to see you got it back together and working good again! Still waiting on the pumps to come back for mine. Good luck-JIM

That's why you seldom see Massey's in the shows.

They're still pullin' their share in the fields while the rest are retired to the shows. I'd paint up my 2135 but I'm too busy using it.
