I need information on a M.F. bulldozer,I was told year aprox. 1973 with perkins diesel 6 cyl. engine. It has 8' front hydrolic swivel blade. Would like to know if there is a book that I could purchase to get information on this unit. Only used for personel on my property. Where would I find, serial #, or parts if needeed, does anyone have one to part out, could use a exhaust manifold at the moment Thanks Bob

Hi Bob, Parts for the 400 should be avail.at
MinnPar in Mpls. 612-379-0606. I have a buyers
guide(73) that includes the 400 Crawler Dozer and it
lists all the dimensions and specs, and as 135
Fan stated the wt is 23,600. Chuck

Look under John Farnworth on the web. He wrote the world wide guide to MF industrial & construction equipment. A good book store could order it for you. It lists all the models and shows pictures of most. It doesn't go into great detail about specific models but does give most specs. It has some errors but is a good reference. As far as your machine, it sounds like an MF 400 with 6-354 Perkins. Very good engine. It shouldn't be too hard to find an exhaust manifold as that is a very commom engine. Could probably get a new one from Perkins but would be pricey. Your machine with angle blade weighs 23,600 lbs. Hope this helps. Dave
