I am rebuilting a MF 35 Diesel Tractor but i don't know how starting it.
I fixed the starter and I changed the plug on the manifold.
But now I don't now exactly the good procedure to start.How many seconds i need supply the Hearter.
If somebody can help me and given me some informations how the fuel pompe works.
Thank for your help

have you bled the air out of the fuel pump.you should not need the heater in the summer but dont use it longer than 10 seconds.on the side of the injection pump the are two bleed screws,loosen the bottom one and wait until fuel comes out,tighten it and repeat on the top screw.loosen the injector lines at the injectors and crank engine until fuel comes out.tighten injector lines and crank to start.do not use starter more than 15 seconds at a time then wait 15 seconds to let starter cool

follow instructions as above if it is a 3 culinder perkins direct injection diesel. if you have a 4 cylinder standard motors diesel check your compression, see if you have a heat grid or a precombustion chamber that this heat grid or heat injector is installed on use no ether on this machine..... good luck MASSEY MAN Michael H Martin
