I am having trouble finding a leak-off line for my TO35. The original had one fitting locked & twisted a line. The tractor serial number is SD192275, which I think is the later model with the Perkins diesel. The line MF can get from Agco is the right spacing but wrong thread in the fittings, It won't start (goes about 1/2 thread).

Anyone come across this problem, or better yet know where I can get a new or used line to fit this tractor?

I also have a new Agco line if anyone is interested, maybe it fits the 23c diesel? Or did some perkins come with different injectors?

Thanks

Bob, At s/n 188851 they just upgraded the injectors etc. but still had the Standard Motors
4 Cyl diesel.None of the TO series had the Perkins
diesel. The leak off line p/n is 827 257M92 and is
the same p/n for both s/n ranges. Should be some
used engines out there. They did not enjoy the
same reputation as the Perkins. Try in the
classified section if nothing else works. Chuck

Thanks, it could be that the fittings are just hosed. They don't look cross-threaded but none will start more than 1/2 thread. My luck there was one oddball injector cap that used different threads (on the fittings) and I have it (VBG)

Well, I measured the fitting and the line side is neither standard metric nor SAE. It measures .035 thread pitch, and an OD of .385 That would be an M10 x .9

The injector end IS an M10 x 1.0

Not sure what the thread on the line I have is. I'll have to fins some fittings and test to see what fits (grin)

Bob:

I cannot help you with the return line but I may be able to see if MF changed the threads on the injectors late in the MF-35 run. I have been told that they did change the injectors.

I have a MF-35 with 3 cylinder Perkins diesel engine and a set of NOS MF injectors for a very late model MF-35 Perkins engine that do not fit my tractor. I will examine the threads on the injectors when I get home tonight to see if they appear different. The tag is stamped differently and I think the nozzles are larger.

Once I have a look see I will post back.

If your new line is fits my tractor I may be interested in it as a spare. Is it for a Perkins 3 cylinder diesel MF-35? The 23C is a 4 cylinder engine.

Must be a 23C then as it is a 4 cylinder. I had always thought it was until the problems with the line, and the parts books my local MF dealer has shows at changeover to perkins at around serial number 188000. Of course i have no way to know if it is an original engine or a swap (grin). I think I have the fitting off the injector in my truck I'll grab it and measure the thread pitch, maybe I can tell if it is metric or english.

Thanks
