HI, I have a M.H. 44 Gas That I pull does very well. Does anyone pull a 101 with the chrysler 6 cyl? What weight classes and how do they pull? We have a couple of 101's setting around, just wanting to know if they make good pullers before going to the work. We pull in low gear, 10% over rated RPM's. Any Idea's about souping one up? Thanks.

Thanks guys, I was wandering if anyone used the 265 combine engine rather than the 217. Sounds like some of you did. Thanks again. I will see what we can do.

My brother in law has one wih a 265 chrysler, stroked to 318ci. He is getting better on it, great machine for 3.5 MPH classes, used to pull against a tough Super 101 a while back, really hard to get by him in a percentage pull. They are a sharp looking tractor all fixed up. JMHO.

I pull with a 101 , Chryler 217 engine. It pulls really well, mine is a rowcrop with 12-38 rears, would suggest 14.9-38 rears. Weight is 3800 lbs, with driver, have added 600 lbs of rear wheel weights. We are limited to 4.5 mph, I ususlly pull in 1st gear, otherwise hard to control speed.

I used to pull a 101Super,was in the money lots, but never 1st. Pulled very well I thought, consistant around 235%.Weighed in around 4400.Had loaded rears cause it was still a "working" tractor.Other guys saw it did well and soon some more showed up,stripped and lightened and always beat me by a few percent.Got fed up with the inconsistancy of what an "antique tractor" should be ,and quit. Hope this helps you a little.
