I agree to take it to an Automotive Electric shop. It is a Delco Remy, and those springs are pretty standard. They won't be the same as Ford as Ford made its own starter. If you have some old GM starters laying around, the springs are likely the same.

I'd take the starter to my local auto electric shop for those springs. If it needs springs, it probably needs the commutator turned and new bearings too.

Otherwise unless its a Lucas starter, Ford 8N parts may fit since they had a lot in common.
