I want to run a single, small 2-way cylinder with a 3pt hitch bucket. I purchased a double 2-way valve that sits on the lift cover under the seat. The left valve is blocked and the right goes to the external cylinder. I understand that the left valve acts like a selector. Anyone have a good explaination of what you can do with this setup. This tractor has a IPTO with a Plessey auxiliary pump. The outlet for Multipower is plugged. There is also a small tube running to a plug on the cover to the IPTO selector handle. I take it this small line is to check for pump pressure. Can this pump be used for small aux. hyraulic pressure source? How about if you didn't use the IPTO while using it to power a small cylinder?

I think your new auxilary valve assembly works like the one I have.

The left valve has three detented positions. Push the handle foward the 3 point follows the original lift and draft levers. If the original controls are in the continuous pump position, the three point rises.

With the left lever in the mid position, the right valve runs what ever you have connected, so long as the original controls are in the continuous pump position. Also the three point is locked in position though it probably will leak down with a heavy load on the three point.

Left lever pulled back, the three point lowers, no matter what the settings of the other levers.

I generally move the original lift lever away from constant pumping when I'm not moving stuff with the hydraulics to slow heating of the hydraulic oil.

Hi

The IPTO test port must be used as test port only
1) the pipe is too small will give very low volume
2) the maximum pressure (when new) is 500 PSI
3) it will cause the IPTO clutch and brake to slip and will accelerate components wear. To operate the loader and bucket you may use a double action 2 spool valve take the oil supply at the valve you already have on the hyd cover. You will need a return line to the hyddraulic system.
For the return line: there is a plug under the seat left side of the cover or drill and and tap the trans fill cap in order to install an hyd fitting.

Hello,
A combining valve is available to combine the flows from the auxillary and Ferguson pumps. This system will only work to a maximum pressure of 2000 psi which is the setting for the aux pump. In your case this would not be possible as you already have the valve fitted on the hydraulic cover. As I understand you, your 2 lever block has one which isolates the internal from the external linkage and the other will operate a double acting ram. This setup is ideal for what you have in mind. To operate the bucket you will select the external position. This will lock the 3pt linkage. The 'lock' is subject to the amount of wear and internal leakage present.
Yes the small pipe is to test the IPTO pressure but it would not be suitable to operate anything else. When not engaged the pressure in the IPTO circuit acts on a brake pad to prevent the PTO turning. To interfere with this would be potentially dangerous.
