I am trying to switch from a Ford 800 to a MF135. When I tried to hook up my Ford 501 Sickle Mower, the stabilizers that bolt to the arms run into the place where the lift linkage bolts to the lift arms. The arms on the Ford and the Massey are the same length. The Ford lifts from the same point where the Massey has it's stabilizer chains. I am going to try moving the lift linkage forward and using the front hole for both the lift linkage and the chains. It will lower the lift force but it shouldn't be any different than the Ford. Any other suggestions?

Just leave the stabilizers off as the chains are plenty strong to restrain a light implement like a 501 mower and anyway, the clamps seem to act as a stabalizing force anyway.

The Ford 501 Sickle Mower has stabilizers which clamp to the lift arms. My 135 has the lift linkage bolted to the lift arms right where the clamp needs to go. The Ford is connected about 5" forward of the Massey.

Not sure if I follow you there. We used a Ford mower on our TE-20 and on an 800 and a later Ford 2000. Not sure of the model #, It had a 7'sickle bar and was 3ph.
