Clutch and Brake Pedals

The clutch and brake pedals on my Ford 800 are low and easy to push. The clutch on the Ford has linkage which helps. The Massey's pedals seem to be high for no good reason except that the stops are where they are. The clutch has about 1.5" freeplay and releases 7" from the floor board. Not easy on your leg. I don't see any reason that can't be lowered. The brakes lock up 4" above the floor boards. Don't see any reason they can't be down where the Ford's are. Your leg is a lot stronger in the lower position than in the up high position. I am going to check the springs in the clutch ( single stage clutch) and see if the springs are too string. Anyone else lower the pedals or reduce the spring force in this clutch?

Thanks harry--one of the reasons a local, well known back surgeon in 1965 once told a customer to get rid of his Massey Ferguson or risk being crippled for the rest of his life.Said the operator's station was designed ergonomically all wrong. True story.

Where the adj clutch rod fastens to the arm on the
clutch pivot shaft there should be two holes on
the arm. You don't say which model but this is
common to many models. Move the yoke to the other
hole and that will drop your pedal. You won't
have the live pto(double clutch)set this way. Are
you sure you have single stage clutch? Chuck
