I'm posting again on this subject. Will a steering box from a "30", "33", or "44" interchange with my "22"? Need to know soon before I start tearing apart! Thanks, Sam

Sam, assuming your 22 is a row crop, the gear
case,internal parts(bearings,seal,carrier sleeve)
and pedestal worm gear are the same as a 30 and
44. For some reason my 33 parts book show a diff
p/n for the 33 gear case shell. It looks the same
but I can't cross the p/n over. Anyway the diff.
in the 22 is the horizontal worm shaft. That is a
different p/n. The worm and bearings are the same
so the diff has to be the length of the shaft. I
recall years ago in the dealership seeing some of
these shafts that had been lengthened(and I suppose shortened) This must have been to make one
fit in the other. Chuck

The steering box for a 44 and 33 are the same the massey part # is 762 374 m91 you will need to find the part# for the 22 from your massey dealer to see if it,s the same.HOPE THAT HELPS.
