I own a Massey Harris 444 and while using the front end loader a shaft in the hydraulic pump broke so i replaced the pump with a used one and the pressure has never been the same...is this just weak pump and should i look for a different one or what. Also there should be no blockage in the lines as it was a clean break and the filter is changed regularly. I'm quit confused with this.

p.s. if anyone has a good used pump im interested.

thanks much

ya weak pump . you can change the shaft from the weak one and put it in place of your broken one part interchange on most of the pumps. you will need a press DO NOT HAMMER THE SHAFT OUT. if your old pump was strong i'd change the shaft

By changing out the broken "impeller" shaft with the weak one my understanding would be that the pump would still produce a weak output. if i understand correctly i think i just need another good used pump...is there anywhere you would suggest looking for one

change just the shaft from the weak pump and put it in your old pump the shaft will come off the gear thats if your old pump had good preasure.

i did NOT word that right when i said the shaft will come off the gear i did NOT mean the drive gear that will NOT come off you have to take the pump apart and remove the gear in side the punp from the shaft. lay every thing out on clean paper so you get it back together in order
