We recently purchased a Massey Harris self propelled corn picker dated somewhere between the late 40"s/early 50"s and are trying to locate any information regarding it. If any one has any information on this machine or knows where information can be located, it would be greatly appreciated.

The later 6 cyl. is the same used in the 101 sr. and the 44-6 Masseey-Harris tractors (226 ci Continental), so parts for the motors are fairley common and NAPA and other parts houses can order parts for them.

Massey produced 9216 of these starting with a few
in 1944-then re-starting in 1946. The last was
produced in 1956. The early ones had a four cyl
and starting w/serial number 12001 switched to a
6 cyl. These were a tremendous machine. A custom operator
wanted a 6 cyl because the 4 were a little short
of power if you had hills. I would guess that any
new parts would be hard to come by but should be
some along the fence row. Weight is about 5800 lbs
Also I just noticed one source said some were built in 1958? I have a dealer product book on
these but it is late enough to show the 6 cyl.
I have a parts book for the four or six cyl.Chuck
