I thought this one would be easy, but!!. Yes the
35 turf or utility could have a shuttle trans. The
MF 35 utility and turf parts book shows the Util.
model starting with s/n 656----- and the turf
starting with 655 which I thought would be the
accurate account. Yet the Official Guide manual
shows the turf starting w/ 656 and the util.with
655. The MF parts book doesn't account for the "U"
before the s/n and yet I have recorded sales of
tractors with UGM----- . Utility-Gas-Dual clutch.
The parts book refers to the fact that some early
tractors had s/n's not in sequence pattern. Also
the later s/n 35 started with 235---for ex.with no
655 or 656. Your's likely built in '62. ??Chuck.

My MF65 parts book does list the U as a Utility chassis type.

Maybe it is a 35 industrial? I think the turf models could be ordered with manual shuttle also. Dave
