I'm looking at 2 different aux hydraulic valve assemblies on ebay for my MF 50. Both are listed in the MF 50 parts manual, both are dual spool. One P/N is 677 421. The other one is P/N 677 265. Didn't get much info from the local dealer, can anyone tell me what the difference is, and which would be better for a loader on this tractor? Thanks very much.

Hi Bill, The 677 265 is a basic valve and only for
single action. The 677421 is more deluxe and can
be set to use single or double action and has other features. If the spools leak on the '265
valve they do not have seals that can be replaced.
Are you aware that with those valves you still can
only run one set of cylinders if you are going to
use the 3 pt. If you have a loader with hyd bucket
you will need to block the 3 pt arms. I do have a
booklet on the 677 421 and related valves. Chuck

Chuck, thanks very much for the info. I just bought the MF manual for the 421. but I haven't yet received it, and the auctions for both of those valves ends before I'll get it. I did read on Dean Austin's MF web site about blocking up the hitch arms when using a loader, and the steering interference problems if you use an external front pump so you could use a loader and the 3 pt. Guess I'll take this one step at a time. Thanks again.
