I am trying to remove the injectors from a 1969 MF 165 parts tractor. Does anyone have any good tricks for getting these out when they are stuck? This engine is siezed from water getting down the exhaust. I want to get the head off to see if it is useable. Thank you.

Too bad it is stuck, but since you are taking the head off anyway, just disconnect the supply and return lines, and have them come off with the head. Usually a small tap and wiggle will do it but with the head off you can get at them easier and see if there is another reason why they are tighter than expected.
hope it helps

The problem is that each injector covers the nut of a head stud. The injectors have to come out before the head comes off.

Yes your right they do, so your back to gently tap and wiggle, could spray a bit of your favourite brand of liquid magic, or can you slide in a open end wrench, might have to grind it a bit thinner and undo the nuts as possible, raise the head and undo them a bit more?
hard way i know but hopefully the last resort good luck

I was able to extract the injector studs using the double nut method, and was also able to twist the injectors a little. Next time I will try pulling them. The head stud nuts are in recesses. The only tool that will fit in there is a thin wall socket. Thanks for your support.

Hi,
I agree with Bob, his 'tap and wiggle' will generally do the job. Be patient and only use moderate force. In removing the head you may run into another problem. We have found that 152 and 203 engines (4 cyl version of 152) are prone to the rear left hand stud hole filling with carbon.
If this happens all you can do is try to work it a little at a time and when you have some movement raise the head in VERY small level steps.
Again be very patient.
