Red on wheels

Ok I have a odd question - when did Massey phase out the red centers on its tractor wheels? I always thought it was the 100/1000 series but I keep seeing 200/1005 and newer series with the red middles (which looks better than the straight silver mist)

Aside from cost any reasoning why they decided to get rid of the red (and yellow on implements)?

Hi,
In the UK red cemtres in fixed wheels were available on 100 series up to about late 1967. The smaller 500 series tractors had all silver wheels except for the 595 which was of French build and normally had PAVT rears and cast centres in the front.
Undoubtedly there was a cost issue with a two-colour wheel rim..... ..call it progress.
