A friend is letting me borrow his box blade but it has a scarifer arm which is lifted and lowered via hydraulics. My MF35 has a single aux port on the back which is operated by the lever next to the 3-pt lever. Can I use this port somehow to run that cylinder? The hyd cylinder has two hoses connected to it.

Your tractor is set up for single acting hydraulics. To operate the scarifiers you would have to have 2 hoses hooked to it as there is pressure on it when the scarifiers are used. Your tractor could be made to work but you would need another control valve and other parts to do it. Dave

I would assume you could but it would be a complicated and messy job. Im assuming the remote on your tractor is single acting meaning you would have to hook one hose up and hold the other against the tire or something to press the ball in the hose while you or someone operate the control. This allows one hose to relieve pressure(also losing some oil)so oil on one side of the piston(in the cylinder) can flow out so the other side can flow in. Then reversing the technique to make the cylinder go back the other way. If you just going to use it a couple time maybe three it will work but its not something you would want to do all the time.
