I know that a little over (1000) model 20 MH SP combines were built from 1938-40.For some reason It seems that very few have survived.

I know of at least 3 in Canada and 2 in the states with one being in the Ford Museum. One is in Minnesota?

Have any of you Massey collectors ever run across a 20 MH combine in your travels?I'd like to think that more than 5 survived.

there are few left. I have been trying to find one but have not been able to locate one for sale in my searches. here in minnesota there is a farm by crookston that owns two of them now, one of them being the one that was at the ford museum and also happens to be the prototype that tom carroll himself tested in 1939 and sold to the la plante family who still owns it along with another. at one time they had 4 of them. I do not know what happended to the rest of them. there was also one at the dome valley museum auction in yuma az, this march. sold for a few hundred dollars!!!!! it was just too big to haul all the way back here to mn. it went to a place in oklahoma I think, where it is being or going to be restored. but all in all when you really get to looking they will start popping up quite a bit. quite a few still in canada from what a friend has told me but no one wants to get rid of them.
also is the picture massey harris 20 yours? it looks to be in good shape, do you have any more info on it. shure would like to hear more.

thanks tom.

Thanks for the 20 MH info.I guess I dont remember a 20 MH combine being on the sale bill at the Dome Valley auction.I thought there was a 21 MH on the bill?I'll bet it went to Achilles,Oklahoma.

The top picture is of part of a 20 MH in Alberta that I'm trying to find out more info on.

The bottom picture is a nice 21 MH canvas combine that I purchased in Sept at an estate sale in SW Nebraska.

The nice 20 MH in my first post is at Roleau,Saskatchewan and isnt for sale.

that sounds like the place in oklahoma where it went to. the 20 was at the "storage yard". it was not listed in the bill as was the case with all the items at the storage yard.

that nice 20 in canada sure would be a good one to have thats for sure.

I looked through all my picture of the yuma auction and I guess I didn"t take one of the 20 there.

heres a few pictures of la plantes massey equipment in northern mn. this is the 20 combine that tom carroll brought up there and is the same one that I think was at the ford museum.
and the other one it of la plantes 101 standard and #14 pull type combine. I would love to find a #14 if anybody has one for sale.

also whats your name 1206SWMO?
thanks tom.
