Greetings from yet another newbie (from the Philippines no less). Question is what tool is needed to pull housing from short axle on stud plate. Presently refurbishing MF 265, only one on the island that I'm aware of. Tractor is split and we're going from back to front replacing items needed. Presently replacing rear axle seals as they leaked on the disc dry brakes, that is if the parts ever arrive_three weeks minimum wait. So as I can not run down to my dealer and my manuel is of no help describing this tool, can someone describe it.Can I make something that will work(best option)?

Allow me a moment to thank all those who post information, never know how many of us lurkers are listening.Have read MANY pages of archives and the manual of course, now I know just enough to be dangerous.
Many thanks once again.

JR.

Hello from Wales, UK
The British company V L Churchill made a screw puller but as I understand it it has not proved satisfactory. I have needed to replace these seals on two tractors (different model) in the last year. I made up a heavy puller but it was useless. The only answer was to have my local MF agent do it with a specific hydraulic puller.
Are you in contact with your MF dealer in the Philipines? Please let us know how you get on.
Good luck.
