I recently took apart the generator on my mf 65 because it was not working and i did not mark which wires go to which brush. There are three brushes, one in grounded interally, one look like it is insulated and the other not insulated. So the wires can only go on the insulated and non insulated brushes i just dont know which one.

Delco generator?

There will be 2 brushes 180 degrees opposite of each other, one grounded, and one insulated.

The wire from the "A" terminal in the generator's "belly" will go to the insulated brush of those 2.

The other wire, from the field coils in the "belly", will go to the oddly-positioned "third brush", also insulated from the endframe.
