Friend of mine recently purchased what he says is a Massey Harris Mustang. Runs but not real sweet. Been sitting for roughly 10 (which probably means 20) years. He asked me if I'd help him tune it and I agreed. He hasn't a book for it but I have an old hard bound edition of IT manuals from Avery through Oliver. A very nice and handy book indeed.

It lists info about Massey Harris model 20's through 101 Seniors but what it does NOT have is anything about a Mustang. My question therefore is would the Mustang's tune up info and standards be just like a 20 or a 30 both of which ARE covered by my book? It sure looks like a Continental engine.

Thanks in advance for your advice and assistance.

Will post back later to let you know how it turns out!

The Mustang used the 140 cubic inch continental engine which was also used in the 22.

Mustang is sometimes referred to as a model 23. A 20 or 22 is the basically thesame tractor
