There are several different types of valves on MF tractors. Look in the archives on here. Look on the Puddingsworld web site under other MF tractor sites. At the bottom of the list is a manual for a bunch of MF tractors. It is the manual that explains the aux. hyd. valves in detail. Dave

It bolts in place of a plate with a hydraulic passage in it. The left spool controls the three point up or down with a center position that enables the right hand spool that gets hooked to the remote cylinder. The original three point controls have to be full up (constant pumping position) for the remote cylinder to work. The left spool handle when pulled back lowers the three point. Locks the three point in the mid position where it enables the right hand spool. In the front position, it lifts the three point if the original controls are in the constant pumping position, otherwise in that position it lets the original position and draft controls work like they did before the auxiliary valve was added.
