I am painting my MF 1135, any suggestions on what to do with bolts used to hold hood and fenders? buy new ones or try to paint the old ones?

I agree with both, I generally use stainless for the rust factor but have also used grain bin bolts with the rubber washers. The bin bolts are nice because they don't scratch the paint underneath them (or at least, not as bad) and cause rusting which then, sometimes bleeds onto the painted surface. If they do start to show their age, they are easily replaced. I got a coffee can of them at a (bin) dealer for five bucks.
Good Luck,

Hi Chris I did a restoration on our 1135 about 13 years ago I used bolts left over from a steel dome building we built, they were the right size ,length, anodized and had a rubber washer on them.I also bought new bolts from the dealer for my 1505 they were a different size.New bolts are a must for a restoration.Put up some pictures in the photo gallery if you can.good luck

Replace them with stainless steel. They will not rust and look bad after a year.
