What is a good size disk the 275 will handel well? Without working harder than you should. I am refearing two a good heavey leveling style not offset but a good cuting one. I have a 5 1/2 offset I will use when I need offset I know it will handel it with ease with 20" disk. I was thinking around a 9 what is right Massy experts?
I know quite a few people say some of the hp rating are under on some of the MF. Does the 275 fall into this catagory? Mine is the model with the external balancer.

Also can anyone tell me why the 290 with the same 248 engine is rated with less hp?

Pulled a 9 footer with an MF 255 for years, still have it, no problems. Yours will pull it easy, may even get a larger one with not much trouble.

I have a MF-690 which replaced the MF-275, uses the same Perkins 4-248. I pull a 7 1/2 foot offset disk, and pull an 8 foot tandem disk. Could probably pull a 10 foot tandem if I had one, but the 8 foot pulls good. Tom
