I have a friend that owns a 2002 4243 massey, and he lost his brakes all of a sudden. He had the dealership split his tractor and put a clutch and pto clutch in it this summer. Where do you bleed these brakes, and where are the brakes located? I have ordered an IT manual for the tractor but have not gotten it yet. I am trying to get him out of a bind as he uses this tractor to feed with.....Thanks fellas....Animal

I used to own a 4225.I had the same problem and ran into the barn door with the loader on.Turns out that there had always been a small leak on the brake master cylinder. This happened under warranty and dealer fixed(almost) promptly. had to fill it up with fluid about every 6 months from then on. Brake Master cylinder is under hood on right side close to steering wheel. Should have a plastic lid with green rubber covering on it.You can fill it up with fluid without removing sheet metal but it is hard to do.Just fill it up(green mineral fluid, not dot3),crank tractor and pump both pedals about 100 times or until brakes return. No problem really.Hope this helps.
