Only if you don't plan to do any heavy tillage. Great for haying and PTO work, but notorious for engine problems related to heavy tillage. Most like that were used as a little big tractor instead of a big little tractor. I would defeantly want a work history available. My Opinion

Around here;

I saw one in decent looking shape go for $5,200 at a retirement auction last summer.

Dealers are asking $7,000 to $12,000.
Add $1,000 or $2,000 to above prices for a loader and that is my humble opinion.
JP.

Thanks for your reply, thats in the ball park of what they are asking. I have a chance to buy a 1085 with a 246 loader for $3000 less, should I even consider it?

The 354 in the 1135 has a much, much better reputation than the 318 in the 1085, and the 354 is known to not use much fuel for the HP it provides. I have one in a '75 1105 and it starts very easily even in cold weather.

Thanks KY, I bought it yesterday, just could not pass it up, real nice tractor, and a new loader...I am glad I went for the bigger tractor.
