When I drive to work I see a MF 65 sitting along a property line and I've been thinking of saving up to make an offer. As long as I've lived in my apartment (over a year) its not moved and I think the owner mothballed it. I haven't gone over there to make an offer yet, but I think something isn't working hence its parked there...I don't even know if it does work.

If I were to come up with 500-600 and offered it to them, do you think that's a reasonable offer? I think its the Row Crop Utility version but I usually don't go randomly to people's houses and ask them if stuff is for sale.

Do you think my offer is worth taking or should I plan on saving a bit more up? I have a 135 that I should be finishing up but, I want to give it some company lol.

Don't make an offer... Go talk with them and ask.

See how much they are thinking it's worth. Then negociate.

Running 65's can be in the $4000.00 range. I've also seen them go for alot less.

if you don't ask, the answer is "no", lots of upside available

a good running 65 would go for lot more than your offer, one you tow home and pour $6k into might not be worth your offer

I know all too well about the sunken costs of tractoring...I won't go into how much I sank into the 135...other than once its finally fixed and repainted etc it will be totally worth it.

I drove past the place that tractor was at, I guess they sold it or are fixing it as its no longer there.
