Alright folks, I need help. I have bought four different aftermarket seats for my restored 1955 model TO35 tractor. They all sit too high or they do not sit back far enough. I have torched, welded, cut and drilled but I am still not satisfied. Finally, I bit the bullet and ordered the pan seat and cushions from this web site with the spring bracket and tilt-up attachment that they show in their parts listings. I had to cut the length of the spring bracket to fit my tractor which also required me to drill a few more holes. Now that I finally have the seat together, it still sits too high. I feel like I am standing up on the tractor. Where in the heck can I get the right seat hinge and spring mounting mechanism that the tractor was made with? This web site says that they have never seen any other kind of bracket for this seat. I think I am looking for an "L" shaped bracket that lays flat on the tractor and turns up at the rear. Does anyone have another source for these Massey parts? I have spent a lot of money and still I am no closer to getting what I need.

My info shows the two basic seat types a follows;
Pan Seat: Basically a "U" shaped spring with the hinge assembly bolted to the back end of top leg of the spring, I have seen in some cases the seat not hinged but bolted straight to the spring.
Cushion Seat: Basically flat bracket, slightly raised at the front with a rubber bumper bolted to it, at the back the bracket turns up approx 45 deg's then vertical to hold the mounting hinge. Sorry I don't have part numbers at the moment.
Regards ... Chas.
