203 industrial tranny stuck

i have a 1969 model 203 with backhoe. it is a diesel. trannsmission is stuck in 3rd gear. i cant figure out how to remove the shifter. can any one help?

Bill, A common problem. It's been too many years
to tell you exact. If you remove the filler cap
for the tranny you can see the rails and forks.
with a small bar or very large screwdriver try
aligning them to center. With a little experimen-
ting you can free up the shift lever. This is not
serious-soon you will be back to work. Shift in
"definite" pattern rather than slide the lever
into gear to avoid that happening. Chuck
