What u may find is that, by removing the transmission oil filler plug,(next to main gearlever), and inserting a screwdriver into the shifter rail that is visible thru the aperature, you may be able to move the rail back or forth, so that it returns to the neutral position. If the selector rail on the far side is the one stuck in gear, you will have to be a little more patient in levering it, and returning it to the neutral position. Don't forget to take the load off the drive-train first by depressing the clutch down. regards, Evan.

Sounds like it is stuck either in 1st or reverse, if that is the problem it is easily fixed.

Does the gearstick move into 1ST and 3rd positions, or just lock up? Evan.
