Tractor is missing serial plate.Did find a casting/part number stamped, not cast into the transmission case. 850 095 Is there a serial number stamped in the tractor somewhere? If somebody knows can they pinpoint it for me, someplace specific like near the shift pattern or next to the oil fill. Top center of transmission really doesnt narrow it down as much as I would like. Lots of rust to get through to see any numbers. Thanks, Bill M.

Hee Yaa~ I finally found mine today!
I had no luck with anything on the tranny.
I found a clue on this site this morning and the responder said to look on the right hand side of the frame abouve the front axle, and there it was!
Now I know I have a 1954 Pony.

Yeah, I"ve been looking for that elusive second serial number too :o). It is on the front end of the tranny, on top of or possibly left side of the tranny flange where it bolts to the torque tube. Basically, look on the lip of the tranny between the bolts in front of the seat bracket. Hope that helps.

850095 is a Massey is a part number. As far as I know there is no other serial number other than the serial number tag.
