I have the same Perkins Diesel in my MF150. Great motor, starts anytime, pulls like a mule! Go for the oil burner!

Our MF 148 has a Perkins diesel - In almost 30 years it never let us down and required relatively little maintenance. I couldn't recommend it - or indeed the rest of the tractor - enough.
