Hey All.

Since my hydraulic pump went into a thousand pieces (ice in the sump) I decided now would be a good time to take care of all those little things that I've been meaning to fix. The master control spring never worked, come to find out the linkage was seized tight. Only way to get the clevis pin out to disassemble the shebang was to blow it out with a torch.

Well, needless to say the bushings are history. Is there any reason not to simply make new ones out of steel tubing? I assume the little notch on the right side through which passes the pin clip was supposed to turn the pin to prevent the pin seizing. For all the good it did.

Also, the manual mentioned, but didn't describe, an overload stop disc. What is this thing, and what does it look like?

Thanks

Well, took a trip to the Massey dealer today. Those bushings are nearly $35. Well for a dollar's worth of steel tubing, these homemade bushings look pretty good. Tack welded them in, since I couldn't cut splines.

There is such a thing as an overload stop disc. Runs $37. Looks like it rides down the spring bore and sets between the bottom of the bore and the spring seat. Hard to tell exactly what it looks like from the picture though. May be convex on the spring seat side, and can't tell how thick it is.

If anyone out there knows anything about this piece, dimensions, etc., it sure would be appreciated.

Thanks.
