I put a loader on my G1355 and am pulling my hair out. Initially the lift cylinders can not be let down slowly without a chug-a-chug jerking when trying to attempt to slow with the levers. OK no problem I will get the book out and set the external valve restrictors, I have to screw it clear in to make the chatter go away, only problem is the let down rate of the loader is now slower than a turtle. If I open (turn counterclockwise)the restrictor a little I'm back to the chug-a-lug thing again. I even sent the tractor to a shop in town and still no improvement. Shop foreman says bad design, at first I thought no way too proud of my MM or Oliver's too admit that. Will I fiddled with it all afternoon and can not figure it out. Load checks hold both ways, interlock piston is good. I even changed to a lighter spring on the lift check thinking that might help, still not satisfied. What do you think? Am I going to have to pull out load check and install a double piloted check coupled to a adjustble flow control (probably use a free floating one so I can obtain faster lift speed). Any good answers appreciated. I feel my Pressure control valve is functioning correctly and pump is functioning proper also, ran through some of the test for this also.

I have 6 MM tractors with this type system. One
thing that seems to be overlooked is the flow
divider(not sure that is the correct name) It is
on the left side of the tractor just below the
Hyd. pump. There is a large hex nut on the front
that holds a spring and check ball in place. The
ball is supposed to be round and roll around to
seal. Of course it doesnt roll. It will get cone
shaped from years of seating in the same place. I
have found that a lot of problems can be solved by
replacing this ball, and then setting the rest of
the system. While the tractor is running, listen
to the Hyd. pump for a chattering sound. It is
possible the end cap has come off a plunger. You
still have pressure, but one of the plungers is
dragging on the drive plate. If an end cap has
come off and broke apart, it will plug the flow
divider. Your biggest and most common problem is
mechanics, and I am not sure what to do to fix it.
They will spend any amount of money to fix brand X
correctly, but an Oliver or MM ???

Are you sure the loader pins aren't starting to seize up ?? If it hasn't been used for a while, or greased mite be an easy fix
